Tokam is a technology-driven movement committed to ending Gender-Based Violence through safe anonymous reporting, rapid emergency response, and data-powered community action.
"Every voice deserves to be heard — especially those silenced by fear."
Tokam was created in response to a deeply troubling reality: survivors of Gender-Based Violence in Nigeria were suffering in silence. Stigma, fear, and a lack of accessible, trustworthy systems kept countless incidents unreported — and perpetrators unaccountable.
We believed technology could change that. By building a secure, anonymous platform that connects survivors directly to legal aid, healthcare professionals, and law enforcement — we created a bridge between silence and justice.
Today, Tokam is more than an app. It's a movement — a community-powered initiative to reshape how Nigeria responds to gender-based violence, one report at a time.
To empower every individual — regardless of gender, age, or location — to safely report incidents of Gender-Based Violence and receive immediate access to the support they need: legal aid, healthcare, counseling, and law enforcement intervention.
We do this by combining secure technology with human-centered design, ensuring that no survivor ever faces their experience alone.
A Nigeria — and ultimately an Africa — where every individual feels safe, protected, and confident that justice and comprehensive support are always within reach, no matter who they are or where they live.
We envision communities where GBV is not tolerated, where survivors are uplifted, and where data drives policy that prevents violence before it occurs.
Every feature in Tokam was designed with one goal: to get survivors from crisis to care as quickly and safely as possible.

AwarenessGender-Based Violence remains one of the most underreported crimes in the world — and Nigeria is no exception. Stigma, distrust, and inaccessible systems have historically kept survivors silent and perpetrators free.
Tokam bridges this gap by combining the power of anonymity, mobile technology, and rapid response infrastructure — ensuring that every report leads to real action, not more silence.
Every survivor deserves to feel safe. Anonymity is non-negotiable in everything we build.
Speed matters in crisis. We engineer for fast response at every level of the platform.
